Harvest on the Coast will take place in San Luis Obispo from Nov. 7-9. Saturday will host perhaps the biggest of the festivities featuring The Grand Tasting Auction where guests will have a chance to win packages filled with wine and lifestyle treats as well as the opportunity to donate to local charities during the Fund-a-Need portion. It doesn’t hurt attendance to host a harvest festival in the recently dubbed, the “Happiest Town in the U.S,” as the charming town of San Luis Obispo already pulls in visitors year-around with its picturesque downtown, stunning coastlines and wine country surroundings.

Although temperatures begin to drop a bit during the autumn months, it remains crisp and sunny allowing the summer outdoor activities to continue. Hiking trails lace the area offering beach landscapes coupled with mountainous terrain for the varietal trekker. The most popular of the trails are Montano de Oro State Park that offers an easy to moderate stroll with coastal views and Lopez Lake with an array of trails for all hiking levels and preferences. Avalon Beach is the top beach spot for sunbathers as well as those looking for a view. Vineyards coat the lush grounds of San Luis Obispo just as the tangs of vino coats the tongues of the samplers.
